The Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) in Secondary Mathematics provides an accelerated path to initial certification in mathematics (grades 6-12).

Candidates gain practical, research-based teaching strategies to effectively support student learning in STEM fields.

The MAT in Special Education concentration provides a pathway to P-12 Certification in Special Education General Curriculum. This fully online program is designed to prepare educators to teach diverse learners, including students with disabilities and behavioral differences. Spanning 36 credit hours over four semesters, the program focuses on both special education and reading endorsement, offering flexibility to meet the needs of working professionals.

Through this concentration, candidates gain the skills necessary to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students with exceptional needs.

The Master's Degree (M.Ed.) in Educational Leadership K-12 concentration will provide you with the content knowledge and credentials necessary to effectively lead schools, districts, multi-million dollar educational organizations, and/or post-secondary educational institutions.鈥� Graduates of the K-12 concentrations - after completing their coursework and meeting all GaPSC certification requirements - will be eligible for Tier I Leadership Certification.鈥疘f you already have a master's degree in a teaching field, you can choose the 18-hour 鈥渃ertification only鈥� option. 

The Master of Education in Elementary and Early Childhood Education is designed for certified teachers seeking to expand their expertise and improve their teaching practices. This 13-month, entirely online program allows you to continue your teaching career while pursuing advanced education. Offered in a cohort format with dedicated faculty support, the program aligns with the public school calendar to accommodate your work and personal commitments. In addition to earning your M.Ed., you鈥檒l have the opportunity to earn an endorsement or certificate in areas such as ESOL, Gifted Education, STEM, and more, enhancing your career prospects in the education field.

The Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Literacy Education is designed to prepare certified teachers to serve as leaders in literacy education. The program provides candidates with knowledge and tools to advance literacy instruction for PreK-12 students. After successful completion of this degree and earning a passing score on the GACE Literacy Specialist Assessment, candidates will qualify for Georgia certification to teach reading/literacy in grades PreK - 12 and provide instructional support for teaching reading/literacy to classroom teachers and paraprofessionals. 

The Master of Education in Special Education is an online, cohort-based program designed for experienced general education teachers seeking to specialize in Special Education. This 30-credit hour program, approved by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC), can be completed in six semesters and prepares educators to serve students with disabilities in various P-12 teaching and leadership roles. The coursework, delivered both synchronously and asynchronously, covers inclusive practices, curriculum development, and content area strategies. Upon completion, you may also earn endorsements in Reading or ESOL, or a graduate certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorder.

The Master of Education in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) is an advanced, online program designed for experienced educators who want to teach multicultural student populations. This 30-credit-hour program focuses on curriculum development, collaborative practices, and teaching strategies in reading and writing for inclusive classrooms. After the first two semesters, students will earn the ESOL Endorsement. The program is structured to be completed in six semesters, entirely online, with no on-campus attendance required, allowing you to gain hands-on experience while enhancing your expertise in teaching English language learners.
