Biography Kathy is proud to run a law firm built with small and mid-sized businesses in mind. She鈥檚 passionate about making high-level legal expertise accessible to companies that may not have the resources of a large corporation. As an Ambassador, she鈥檚 excited to support other family-owned and growing businesses by connecting them with trusted resources that can help them thrive.
I love the FEC because of its leadership! The programs offered and advice given are
invaluable. It is a safe space to talk about real challenges small family business
owners face.
Biography Matt is the Vice President of Innovative Outsourcing, a firm with a 30-year legacy
of providing Consultative Recruiting and Fractional HR services to companies with
under 150 employees. Matt joined the Family Enterprise Center as an Ambassador because
of his passion for fostering exceptional cultures not only in the workplace but also
within the home.
I love family businesses for their emphasis on values and legacy, which can translate
into a deeply committed and loyal workplace. This provides a unique opportunity to
cultivate a truly people-centric culture where individuals are an integral part of
a shared, long-term vision.
Fun Fact He enjoys any sport that requires a ball, surfing, and having his mood on fall Saturdays
determined by the success of the Georgia Bulldogs.
Biography Melanie oversees operations at the business, managing propagation, botanical products,
and floral divisions, while Rob leads sales, field operations, and design and consulting
services. Together, they are dedicated to building a sustainable lifestyle and expanding
access to safe, natural products within their community. Through their gardens and
consulting work, they also help teach market garden techniques to the next generation
of urban farmers.
When we started working with the FEC, we didn't know how much we didn't know, and
how far from "sustainable" our business was. The workshops, panel discussions, and
peer and individual support we've received has shifted not only how we view our business
and our roles in it, but also helped to broaden and improve our family dynamic.
Fun Fact In the last 18 years, they have successfully fostered and re-home over 30 dogs through
IDOG rescue. They currently have 2 pups, a goldendoodle named Sammy, and a labradoodle
named Snickers.
