The Museum of History and Holocaust Education (MHHE) at 最色导航
offers educator-led educational programs. Our Georgia Standards of Excellence aligned
field trips, homeschool days, day camps, and teacher workshops provide immersive exploration
of the Holocaust, WWII, and Civil Rights history, using primary sources to foster
critical thinking and historical empathy.

The Museum of History and Holocaust Education (MHHE) offers immersive, educator-led
experiences that bring history to life. Our tours are free of charge and designed
to foster critical thinking and dialogue.
Field Trip and Small Group Tour Information
Plan your next educational outing at the Museum of History and Holocaust Education.
We offer immersive, educator-led tours for 5th grade students through university level.
Cost: Free (Reservation required).
Standards: All tours align with .
Daily Capacity: Up to 110 guests.
Group Minimum: 15 participants required for a full guided tour.

Adventure Academy offers engaging school-break camps for K - 5th graders led by our full-time museum
education team. Through hands-on experiences rooted in history and the humanities,
campers explore a wide range of topics that spark curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong
love of learning.

Professional Development
We offer a number of professional development workshops throughout the school year
in partnership with local, national, and international partners to help prepare teachers
to educate about this difficult and important periods in history. Keep scrolling for

Teacher Ambassador Program
The Teacher Ambassador Program brings together educators committed to deepening their understanding of the Holocaust through virtual and in-person training, international and domestic travel, and collaboration with scholars and museum professionals. Participants return to their schools prepared to train their colleagues and teach their students about the Holocaust as a broader history and not just as a singular event.
Support for the Teacher Ambassador Program has been provided by the Molly Blank Fund,
the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta, and other generous partners.
Legacy Learning Trip
The Legacy Learning Trip is a professional learning experience that uses historic
sites, museums, and memorials to help educators examine the history and ongoing legacy
of the Civil Rights Movement. Through place-based learning and reflection, participants
develop the knowledge, resources, and confidence to bring these stories into their
classrooms in meaningful ways.
The Legacy Learning Trip has been made possible through support from the Smithsonian's
Our Shared Future: Reckoning with Our Racial Past initiative and other philanthropic
partners.
Homeschool Education
The Museum of History and Holocaust Education invites you to our free Homeschool Days. Experience special guest speakers, hands-on activities, educator-led tours, and age-appropriate films. Homeschool Days are suitable for students ages 9 and up, and RSVPs are required.

August 27: Daily Life in WWII
Step into the everyday experiences of civilians and soldiers during World War II.
Discover how war shaped work, school, family life, and communities around the world.
October 8: Beyond Rosie
Explore the many roles women filled during World War II, from factory workers to codebreakers,
pilots, and military volunteers. Learn how their contributions reshaped society during
and after the war.
December 10: STEM
Investigate the science, technology, engineering, and innovation that changed history.
Through hands-on activities, discover how STEM has shaped the past and continues to
impact our world today.
January 14: WWII & Holocaust Remembrance
Reflect on the history and human impact of World War II and the Holocaust. Through
age-appropriate activities and primary sources, explore the importance of remembrance,
resilience, and standing up to injustice.
March 18: Cold War X Aviation History & Technology Center
Examine the global tensions, technological competition, and everyday life during the
Cold War. Learn how advances in aviation and aerospace shaped this era through a special
partnership with the Aviation History & Technology Center.
May 13: Land, Sea, Air: Battle Strategy
Discover how geography, technology, and military strategy influenced battles across
land, sea, and air. Put your critical thinking to the test as you explore how leaders
planned and adapted during wartime.
Frequently Asked Questions
What age groups do you serve?
The Museum of History and Holocaust Education (MHHE) welcomes visitors of all ages. However, some of the content, particularly exhibitions on the Holocaust, may not be suitable for children under the age of 10 (fifth grade).
Who can schedule group tours?
Any group or organization. The MHHE has given tours to school groups, community organizations,
religious groups, scout groups, senior groups, and more.
How long are group tours?
For school groups of over 20 students, plan on being at the museum for just over 2
hours. Even with interactive discussions and activities, after this length of time,
some students may lose concentration.
Other groups may schedule different length tours depending on the exhibits they wish
to see and how long they have to spend at the MHHE.
What permanent exhibits does the Museum have to offer?
The museum has a variety of on site exhibits focusing on World War II and the Holocaust.
What else does the Museum of History and Holocaust Education offer aside from exhibits?
The MHHE has a movie theatre that shows different movies including: "The Short Life of Anne Frank," "Path to Nazi Genocide" and "Women in World War II."
Who will lead our tours?
Tours are given by museum educators and docents who are highly trained and experienced

What days and times can I schedule a group tour?
During the school-year (August - May) school-groups of over 20 may schedule a field
trip in the morning. Most of these field trips begin between 9:00-10:00 a.m.
If you have a small group, we can offer you our afternoon tour time which typically
begins around 1:00 p.m.
Where should the bus drop us off?
At the East Entrance of the KSU Center (3333 Busbee Drive, 最色导航, GA, 30144).
Where should the bus park?
There is ample free parking around both sides of the KSU Center.
Is there a picnic area at the Museum of History and Holocaust Education?
Unfortunately, our museum does not have space for groups to eat lunch. We can offer
the Commons (KSU's dining hall on campus). You may contact them directly for availability
and pricing. The Varsity Jr. is also a short bus drive from the museum and a popular
choice with groups. Alternatively, 最色导航 Mountain National Battlefield Park has
free picnic space nearby.
Are you handicap accessible?
Absolutely. All of the MHHE鈥檚 galleries, exhibits and facilities are on the ground level and accessible.
How much does the Museum of History & Holocaust Education cost?
Nothing. It is entirely free.
How far ahead should I schedule a tour?
During the school-year, we often book several weeks, or even months, in advance. As
soon as you have a potential date for your group, please fill out a reservation form.
